Public Speaking Open Sessions
Want to feel more confident speaking in front of others? Not sure how to manage nerves, avoid over-relying on slides, or handle questions from the audience?
Our new 2026 Public Speaking Open Sessions led by Steve Mackenzie are informal, practical lunchtime workshops focused on real-world presentation skills. Each week we’ll explore a different challenge and share simple techniques you can immediately put into practice.
Join one session or come to them all - each stands alone and is suitable for beginners or anyone wanting a confidence boost.
Planned sessions:
- Wednesday March 18th (12-1pm) - Dealing with presentation nerves
- Wednesday March 25th (12-1pm) - Avoid overusing PowerPoint
- Wednesday April 1st (12-1pm) - Using body language effectively
- Wednesday April 8th (12-1pm) - Reducing “erms” and “ums"
- Wednesday April 15th (12-1pm) - Handling Q&A sessions
